Saturday's Mixed Bag

Brenley got up at eight this morning. Not too late, not too early. We did our normal morning routine and then went to do some shopping. We stopped at Party City and I got a costume for Haloween. Then we went to Stones River Mall because I need some new clothes. Brenley was very well behaved while I picked around and tried on various things. I somehow managed to put Brenley's shirt on backwards and she wore it that way for quite a while. I caught it as I paid for the things I had chosen. We stepped into the dressing room and took care of that.

We then stopped off at the fountain to stare at the water. For some reason she finds this enthralling. I didn't have any change for her to throw but I did meet a very attractive girl and her son (or so I assume). We talked for awhile but unfortunately I neglected to ask her name and number and then didn't have another chance even though I saw her from across the way one last time. Oh well.

Finally we stopped at McDonald's as a reward for Brenley's excellent behavior. We ate our food and Brenley took a super-long nap. She finally woke up at nearly six o'clock. I got to enjoy the entire Tennessee/Alabama game and even take a nap during halftime!

We had pizza for dinner then went to Wal-Mart to get some odds and ends. Brenley was a little more restless during this outing but was certainly not too much to handle. We came back home and got a bath. She's currently lounging on the couch watching Spiderman. As soon as I finish this entry it'll be bed time.

Tomorrow we will enjoy our normal Sunday park visit. Last week Brenley wanted to go for a walk the whole time. We'll have to dress a little warmer since the high will be 58°. I'm sure she won't mind. Her mother has something she wants her to attend so she'll be leaving quite early tomorrow. I have a sneaking suspicion that I will take that opportunity to get a nap in since Brenley wakes up very early on Sundays.

Saturday is my favorite day of the week. Today didn't disappoint. Some ups. Some downs. Always interesting. :)
