Cold and Powerful

Thanks for the congratulations Kevin. I promise to only use my power for good.

For those who are just tuning in, my wonderful boss agreed to cop me a new Powermac since we are hiring two new developers at work. I took the news of the new hires as an opportunity to point out that we would need new PCs. He was receptive and eventually agreed to get me a new single proc, dual-core Powermac. There was much rejoicing. I will now be Appled Out at my desk: AlBook, iPod, and Powermac (the first two being my own contributions). Only the Dell monitors will hint to the unwashed masses huddled around my glowing cube that there is something else to be had. I won't be asking for Cinema Displays any time soon.

Damn it's cold. I've always said that I prefer cold to hot when it comes to being outside. It's my opinion that you can always add more clothes when it's cold but you can only take so many off when it's hot.

My 'old' S40 had heated seats but the 'new' one does not. I don't really miss them since my car doesn't live outside. The greenhouse effect keeps it pretty warm when the sun roasts it in the parking lot so my toosh isn't frozen when I get in for the trip home. I finally turned the heat on in the house two days ago. Morning showers are interesting when it's 60° in the house.

Today is a Brenley day and I'm already excited. I think we need to hit the grocery store since I had nothing to eat for breakfast today. I generally get busy late in the day and have to make a conscious effort to remember to leave at 4pm so I can be there to get her at 5. I'll be working on that all day.
