Gumball Rally!

Last night was Jeremy's laundry night and I wasn't in the mood to play WoW so we met up with Kevin and crew at Buffalo Wild Wings in Murfreesboro. I got to check out Kevin's 5G iPod and was very impressed.

When we got back Jeremy and I started watching clips of Family Guy from Google Videos. We accidentally ended up watching some street racing videos and I ended the night watching a 30 minute movie about a Gumball 3000 rally that took place in the US.

I've got a new mission in life: Purchase a fine automobile for exclusive use as a toy and leave it's fate to the Car Gods by participating in a 3,000 mile speed binge. Maybe an M5, G35 coupe, S4, or my beloved S40 with some modifications.

UPDATE: I left off a few I'd also consider: Bentley Continental, Lamborghini Gallardo, Lexus IS, Aston Margin V12 Vanquish. Honorable mention: Lancer Evo. I should've included the IS in the list above, because if it had existed in it's 2006 form a year ago I wouldn't be driving a Volvo right now.

What about the Jaguar XK8? That is a sweet ride too.

It's definitely a nice car, but I think the XK8 is kinda boring looking. I prefer the Aston Martin. I think the Aston Martin cars look like Jaguars, except better. :)

I saw a dark blue XK8 parked off by itself in a parking lot the otherday. I had to cruise by and take a look. It looked pretty damn sweet to me. Very simple, and a nice mix of low and fast while stil looking classy. If it is as clean and elegant inside as out I think it would be a great car to have. Though I pretty much agree with your sentiment about the Aston Martin, the XK8 kicks the G35's ass.

The XK8 easily kicks the G35s ass. They aren't even in the same category ;)
