Dancing In The Rain

Tonight was one of those nights where I really had nothing planned for Brenley's visit. On nights like that I put her to bed feeling as if I've wasted valuable time with her. I know that any time I spend with her is precious but since I don't see her as often as I'd like it's hard to swallow a short visit sometimes.

Anyway, a small storm came through tonight. I heard the rain when I was sitting by the fireplace and mentioned it to Brenley. She walked to the window to look outside. "You want to go check it out?", I asked. She said yes and we went to the front door.

We ran around in the driveway in the cold, dark rain for no good reason and had a hell of a time doing it. I love my daughter.

How fun was that! There are only a few instances in life that you can throw your cares away and play in the rain. It's even better when you get to do it with your dad!!
