Safari Plugin
Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at 7:32PM
Apple apparently doesn't want people creating plugins for Safari, unless they are mime-type based. I did manage to learn quite a bit while hacking on my little project. I found class-dump, a tool for dumping the Objective-C segment of Mach-O files. I bet, somewhere in the huge number of header files it generated was the information I needed to get plugged into Safari, but damned if I could find it.
I don't have the patience that I used to for hacking on stuff like this. I am on the precipice of embracing Apple's platform completely at the house. If I could afford to buy a Powermac (or if I wasn't getting close to having Renee come live here) I'd probably cop one and coalesce my two PCs into a single closet dweller. These experiences discourage me somewhat, but I have a day job that satisfies many of my hacking desires.

Hacking shitty perl != hacking cool Mac software
Just like sexy Sony viao != sexy powerbook
