Psuedo Periodic Music Shizzle

I am always copping new music. The mixtape has been one of the most wonderful additions to my life. I realized today that I hadn't mentioned Lupe Fiasco's album to Jackson yet. Maybe the rest of you would benefit from a dose of my musical sleuthing? Anyway, I'll try and shout out a mixtape or album that I think is worth checking out every now and then. We'll start now.

No, I won't link to places to download these. Buy the albums if you like them. If it's a mixtape then you know where to find them.

Everyone should've heard about Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor by now.

This album is good. You should go get it. I have no comments that will do this justice. I'll merely choose a single track to point out. Daydreamin' features Jilly Scott (Jilly From Philly!) and sports these choice lines:

Now come on everybody, let's make cocaine cool /

We need a few more half naked women up in the pool /

And hold this MAC-10 that's all covered in jewels /

And can you please put your titties closer to the 22s? /

I've been a Devin fan for a minute. If you are a Devin fan you will enjoy this album. I'm not sure that you can become a Devin fan. You either like him or you don't. Hard hitters such as Big Boi and Twista are featured on this album. It's a playful yin to the steely eyed serious yang of Lupe's offering.
