Now I Can Talk Shit

Over the last few years I've really opened my eyes to what is going on in the world. I can speak somewhat intelligently about any current event that NPR covers. I read various blogs (mainstream or not) and watch a few news shows. It's hard to do because when one looks closely at things they tend to see the imperfections. Anyone who watches the news knows that most news is bad, but if you can look hard you can find progress.

If you can't find something good, then change who makes the news. That's why I took my ass out for early voting today. I've never voted.

Yeah, I said it.

Any political discussion that I've entered I would often exit out of guilt because I didn't vote. What right do I have to debate issues with someone if I'm not going to use the rights afforded to me by the laws and principals that defend so vigorously?

So I'm proud of myself. Only just a little bit. How proud can I be when I haven't used this luxury for eight years. One can't use their failures as a reason not to try.

I'm disgusted and ashamed to say I know you..... you Anti-American!

Just kidding. Good for you. Actually, I didn't vote in 2000's Presidential election either, so it's not so bad.

Argh, I'm not sure how this comment will turn out. Firefox 2 is not playing well with your form.

I guess this means you're becoming more corporate and stuck making choices that you don't necessarily agree with, even if you know it's the only choice for the situation...wait, that's not about voting: that sounds more like management!

Congratulations... :)
