New Car Fever
It started a few weeks ago. I started eyeballing cars.
No good can come from this.
My 2004.5 Volvo S40 T5 has been good to me. It’s in wonderful condition (after having been replaced with a new one a little over a year ago) but the troubles I had have scared me away from Volvo. I’m considering trading her in for a new steed.
If I had my druthers I would definitely pick up a BMW M3, but the $50,000 price tag is way north of where I’m looking. My next choice would be either the BMW 3-series (325 or 330) or the 2007 Infiniti G35. These two are manageable, but the price is comparable to what I have now and my brain is tugging at my sleeve requesting that I pull some money out of car payment and apply it to my other loves. So now I’m shopping in a lower price bracket and currently have my choices down to these lucky finalists:
- 2007 Nissan Altima
- Volkswagen Jetta GLI
- Acura TSX
Out of that bunch the TSX built cheapest for me and had the features I’m interested in (aux input and bluetooth to name a few).
The es-fawty is about even on trade-in to payoff value and my credit sparkles so this is really just a matter of picking a car. All of these would lower my payment.
The TSX is winning… Oh dear.

Cars are kinda like women…
… it is never a bad time to trade in your old one for one with less miles ;)
