You know you don’t write enough when people start reminding you that you have a blog.

I think that when life is going well I have less of an urge to document things. Plus there were the Holidays.

So I’ve been busy with a number of things. First off I’ve spent the last few weeks getting into a relationship with a wonderful girl. Funny how she was right under my nose. The details are many and the benefits abound.

Next I accepted a promotion toward the end of the year to Development Manager. This has made me quite busy at the office and I tend to veg out a bit more when I get home. I’m enjoying the new role a lot and I think I’ve handled the transition very well thus far. The hardest part has been going from just one of the guys to the being the manager. I don’t like ‘telling’ the guys to do stuff. I’m lucky enough to work with some of the smartest guys I’ve ever known and I hope I mix the proper of amount of vibe when I request things from them. I’m still a majority coder, I just have the extra management responsibilities. I also have to spend a lot of time in meetings, doing mundane stuff like documentation and worrying about the ‘long view’ of things. It suits me.

And finally I’ve been playing a lot of WoW. ‘Nuff Said.

So this post was meant to break the habit of not writing. We’ll see how it goes.
