Version 1.1.1 and Updated Examples

Monday, September 18th, 2006

I forgot to mention yesterday that I released version 1.1.1. This was an attempt to fix broken rendering in Axis::DateTime and to update some documentation.

I also updated the examples page to reflect the current output Clicker is capable of.

Telemetry

I’ve got a pet project that makes use of Clicker called Telemetry. You can read about it here.

Version 1.1.0

Thursday, September 14th, 2006

This release knocks a handful of things off my todo list:

  • Markers: Single values and ranges
  • Temporal Axis with ’smart’ date formatting
  • Catch up some documentation

With Days!

The Marker functionality allows ‘marking’ either a single value or a range of values on either the domain or range, even with different axes. The temporal axis examines the range of the domain axis and changes the format to try and give you the best labels for the ticks. Finally I managed to catch up on a bit of documentation that was lacking. I’m still sorely behind, but such is Open Source.

Version 1.0.7

My app that uses Clicker needed a temporal axis, so has been released with Axis::DateTime. The results are exemplary.

Axis::DateTime

I plan to make this class much smarter, optionally adapting the format of the date to the range represented. What you see is merely the beginning. You have been warned.

Version 1.0.6

Eating one’s own dog food is a sure-fire way to find bugs. That’s precisely what has happened.

Telemetry

Telemetry is the offspring of an app I wrote and maintained for years called Loggerithim (yes, mispelled on purpose, I thought I was clever). More will be said about it later.

For now I’ve released a new version of Clicker that fixes relative rendering of series, improves legend rendering and adds a few other odds and ends.

Wee!

Version 1.0.5

Tuesday, September 5th, 2006

I didn’t bother announcing 1.0.3 or 1.0.4 because I’m a slacker. I forgot.

1.0.3 ditched File::Temp by requiring a newer version of Cairo.pm.

1.0.4 fixed completely broken domain axes.

1.0.5 continues this wonderful string of fixing stuff that is completely broken by fixing bugs in the Axis and Range. I also added a spiffy new ‘glass’ decoration for a side project I’m cooking up. Wee!
